The Legend of Zelda[a] is an action-adventure game franchise created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. Nintendo primarily develops and publishes the series, although they have outsourced some portable installments and re-releases to Flagship, Vanpool, and Grezzo. The gameplay combines action-adventure and elements of action RPG games.

The series centers on various incarnations of Link, a courageous young man of the elf-like Hylian race, and Princess Zelda, a magical princess within the bloodline of the goddess Hylia. Together, they fight to save the magical land of Hyrule from Ganon, an evil warlord turned demon king and the principal antagonist of the series. Ganon seeks to use the Triforce, a sacred relic left behind by the three goddesses who created Hyrule, to remake the world in his own dark image. When gathered together, the Triforce can grant any wish its user desires. However, if someone with an unbalanced heart lacking the virtues of Power, Courage, and Wisdom attempts to touch the Triforce, it splits into three triangles and bonds with three people whose hearts embody the required virtues.

THE LEGEND

THE CREATION :

According to ancient tales, the world was created by three goddesses:

DIN :

The goddess of power created the land.

NAYRU :

The goddess of wisdom created order.

FARORE :

The goddess of courage created life.

THE TRIFORCE :

Before they left the world they created, the three goddesses formed the Triforce—a magical object made up of three golden triangles—and entrusted it to the goddess Hylia.

The Triforce grants a wish to those who possess the three virtues of the goddesses: power, wisdom, and courage. If one doesn’t maintain the proper balance of virtues, the Triforce splits into three pieces. Only by reuniting all three pieces can one obtain the true power of the Triforce.

Throughout time, the Triforce has chosen a select few to wield its individual powers:

Triforce ofCOURAGE :

Link, the brave young hero who bears the mark of The Triforce of Courage.

Triforce ofCOURAG :

The Triforce is a sacred relic in the Legend of Zelda games composed of three golden triangles arranged into one, bigger triangle.

triforce of power :

The Triforce is the ultimate source of power in The Legend of Zelda series and serves as the balance that weighs the three forces: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. It can grant any wish to those who obtain it, regardless of whether the person’s intentions are “good” or “evil.”

Triforce of wisdom :

The Tetraforce is a name given to the Triforce by those who believe in a four-piece Triforce instead of three. Although this idea is now known to be non-canon, it has had considerable influence in the Zelda fandom.

THE HISTORY OF HYRULE :

Each game in The Legend of Zelda series tells an important part of the history of Hyrule. Trace their paths through the various eras in this comprehensive timeline.
